Online Dating – Why Try? Seriously, Why?

Commercials sell it up, but those of us who’ve tried online dating know the real deal. Keep your expectations low and your patience high.

You have the living with mom..

Living “separately” with the ex…

The weirdos…

No picture profiles of men that are cheating or too ugly…

Liars pretending they’re someone else…

Pretend they are taller, thinner or richer…

They come in droves!

You’re swiping left 10 million times, and when you feel like you’re just about ready to give up, flip out or throw up. There’s a cute guy to swipe right for.

Is it too much to find on the app an available, comfortably employed man over 6’0”, who has his own place, care about health and fitness, is kind, smart and important?

I’m sure the women are crazy too. Maybe I’m crazy for trying it…

I’m Hannah Erica, a Philly native and the writer for this website. I received my Bachelor’s in Communications with a Journalism certificate from the University of Phoenix. I came from a big family, and growing up we didn’t have many material things to play with, so our creative sides came out. As a child I would write skits that my siblings and I acted out, and I would write children's books to read to my younger siblings. More than a decade ago a started writing film scripts and completed two. It's a tough business to get work published, so I put the film script writing on the back burner and I write short stories that I publish on my own website. "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door."- Milton Berle.
