There Is a Such Thing as a Dumb Question

I drive for Uber on the weekends, like everyone else with a car and a lot of bills. It takes discipline, a hunger for making money and patience to drive people around all day. Along with driving, there’s a level of customer service that is expect from an Uber driver.

Does the Uber app offer a list of questions the rider can ask the driver? All the riders ask the same questions.

Like, “how long have you been driving for Uber?”

I’m thinking “ Too long.”

I say, “two years.”

Another question is, “do you like driving for Uber?”

Now I’m like zzzz in my head.

I’m thinking “I prefer not to have a bunch of strange, smelly asses sitting in my car, but I need the money.”

But what comes out is, “It’s pretty good.”

It would be pretty good if people stop ordering Uberpool and trying to get four to five people in the car or stressing me out because they are running late for work and decided to save a few dollars on Uberpool.

Pay the two to four dollars extra for the UberX.

I’m Hannah Erica, a Philly native and the writer for this website. I received my Bachelor’s in Communications with a Journalism certificate from the University of Phoenix. I came from a big family, and growing up we didn’t have many material things to play with, so our creative sides came out. As a child I would write skits that my siblings and I acted out, and I would write children's books to read to my younger siblings. More than a decade ago a started writing film scripts and completed two. It's a tough business to get work published, so I put the film script writing on the back burner and I write short stories that I publish on my own website.
