Vantage Point

“I’m not calling you a loser, but I’m describing the characteristics of a loser and saying this is you.”

We all need help or guidance. Celebrities have managers and a PR team. Regular people have family and friends that put their input in their lives. They speak up when they think you are hurting yourself physically, financially, or emotionally. At this point of my life I know what I want. I know what’s best for me.

I have the vantage point…

Knowing where the advice is coming from is important. People have their own perspective of what they deem important.  My dad wants me to return to be a Jehovah’s Witness, because Armageddon is coming. My sister believes my life is empty without a man, so she sends me things to read on what men want.

What about what I want?

My best friend feels financial gain is the key to happiness. His “by any means necessary” approach has me looking like a loser in his eyes, because I’m not willing to try everything and anything for financial gain.

There’s no lottery ticket to success, but I’m on my grind…

I’m Hannah Erica, a Philly native and the writer for this website. I received my Bachelor’s in Communications with a Journalism certificate from the University of Phoenix. I came from a big family, and growing up we didn’t have many material things to play with, so our creative sides came out. As a child I would write skits that my siblings and I acted out, and I would write children's books to read to my younger siblings. More than a decade ago a started writing film scripts and completed two. It's a tough business to get work published, so I put the film script writing on the back burner and I write short stories that I publish on my own website.
